About the Role
Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Budget Officer. Duty Location: Lakewood, Colorado; Washington, District of Columbia Washington, DC: $169,279 - 197,200* Lakewood, CO: $164,956 - 197,200* * Rate limited to the rate for level IV of the Executive Schedule (5 U.S.C. 5304 (g)(1)).
What You'll Do
- →Advising top officials at Headquarters, Regional/Area Offices and serves as the Bureau's point of contact on budgetary matters with the Department, Office of Management and Budget, as well as the respective Appropriations and Oversight Committees and Subcommittees of the Congress.
- →Developing, maintaining, operating, and coordinating all elements of the program system to schedule expenditure of Bureau funds in accordance with Commissioner's and Department's policies, including revisions and additions.
- →Directs the coordination, formulation and recommendations to the Commissioner's Office, of basic policies, standards, techniques, procedures, and directives pertaining to programs and budgets, and coordination of information exchanged with Bureau financial management.
- →Provides technical and policy guidance to the regional offices on the development, presentation, and execution of the Bureau's programs and budgets.
- →Ensures that all programs are prepared in accordance with Congressional, Office of Management and Budget, Departmental, and Bureau policies and functional requirements, and that funds appropriated therefore are utilized in accordance with approved programs, as well as in accordance with all laws, rules, and regulations controlling the encumbrance, obligation, and expenditure of federal funds.
- →Manages, directs and oversees the planning and coordination of the processes and events necessary to justify the Bureau's budget and personnel requests to the Department of the Interior, Office of Management and Budget, and Congress.
