The Brand Manager position is located in the Office of the Director, Harpers Ferry Center for Media Services, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. This position works in collaboration with programs in the Washington Support Office, DOI Solicitors' Office, National Park Service (NPS) regional offices, and parks to research, advise, design, develop, and produce an array of media products in support of the mission of the National Park Service and to amplify the NPS brand.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Serves as the principal advisor to the Harpers Ferry Center, Washington Service Office, Regional Offices, and parks to maintain ongoing communications, consultation, guidance, and expertise in brand, visual identity, and intellectual property issues.
- →Develops standards, specifications, and guidelines relating to the NPS brand, visual identity, and intellectual property (e.g., logo, trademark, trade dress, etc.).
- →Works closely with DOI General Counsel/Solicitors' office on guidance and training on intellectual property and licensing standards, triage of new design requests, and development and maintenance of NPS graphic templates and forms.
- →Determines project and program budget priorities and presents accurate budget proposals that align with strategic work plans and program needs and goals.
- →Serves as a leader in the management of digital/visual communications for the NPS.
- →Understands and applies audience and stakeholder needs.
Requirements

- ✓Probationary Period: As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period,during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated.
- ✓This probationary period is an extension of the appointment process and therefore requires the agency to determine if continued employment would advance the public interest, meet the organization goals and mission of the agency, and/or otherwise promote the efficiency of the service.
