This position is located in the Business Office at the Yakama Service Unit in Toppenish, Washington. The incumbent serves as a Billing Technician responsible for processing claims on-line to third party carriers which include Medicare, Medicare Part D, Medicaid and all other third-party payors. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Process insurance billing functions including prior authorizations, claim preparation, demographic verification, and third-party insurance data entry to ensure accurate and timely reimbursements.
- →Research and resolve denied or aged claims, maintained accounts receivable records, and collaborated with billing, accounting, and registration teams to maximize collections and claim resolution.
- →Manage patient billing documentation and correspondence by retrieving medical records, maintaining electronic and paper filing systems, and supporting compliance with third-party billing regulations and reporting requirements.
Requirements

- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
