This position is a Billing Technician located at the Division of Administrative Services, Business Office, Blackfeet Service Unit, Indian Health Service, Browning, MT. This position reports to the Business Office Manager or designee. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Perform accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims to third party payers, intermediaries and responsible parties according to established procedures.
- →Maintenance and control of unbilled claims, including assigned section of patient receivables.
- →Correct errors for all rejected/suspended claims.
- →Submit daily billing productivity report.
- →Verify all control functions are maintained daily; notify all claims deemed unbillable, document activity performed on patient accounts in the patient financial folder.
Requirements

- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
