What You'll Do
- →About the Directorate The Contracts & Supply Management directorate oversees major Postal Service contracting efforts to determine if costs, operations, and risks are being effectively and efficiently controlled by current policies, initiatives, and practices.
- →The directorate leverages data-driven insights and advance techniques to issue audit reports about contracting, purchasing, and supply management programs.

- →This includes audit planning, research, project engagement, reporting, and evaluating internal controls, compliance, and risks.
- →Key Responsibilities Direct audit projects to ensure compliance with OIG policies and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards.
- →Plan and oversee audit scope, methodology, research, data analysis, and field work execution to ensure sufficient, relevant, and reliable evidence.
- →Conduct and oversee research on complex audit issues involving major uncertainties in approach or interpretation.
- →Review, write and edit, and communicate audit findings and reports to management.
- →Prepare audit project records, data, and status reports.
- →Assist in evaluating overall audit results and identifying solutions to complex audit challenges.
- →Identify unique issues where no policy exists and recommend innovative actions.
- →Leadership & Management Duties Manage day-to-day work of staff, including scheduling, assigning projects, and ensuring continuous progress toward goals.
- →Provide advisory services and authoritative policy interpretations in audit-related areas.
- →Counsel, develop, and guide subordinate staff to meet audit objectives and strengthen data and audit capabilities.
Requirements
- ✓Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.

- ✓Special Instructions for Candidates with Foreign Education: Education completed outside the United States must be deemed equivalent to that gained in U.S. education programs.

- ★This position is at the Manager Band level, equivalent to a GS-14.
- ★Salary range for this position is $146,765.00 - $193,790.00, including locality pay.

- ★Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA) status: Exempt (non-exempt employees are entitled to overtime pay; exempt employees are not).
