About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. ARMY INTELLIGENCE & SECURITY CMD U.S. ARMY COUNTERINTELLIGENCE COMMAND HQ, FT. MEADE, MD. You will serve as a legal advisor to the Commander, US Army Counterintelligence Command (USACIC).
What You'll Do
- →Provides legal advice concerning USACIC CI operations and activities, including those activities conducted in or through the use of cyber mediums.
- →Evaluates newly enacted statutes, proposed federal legislation, federal and Department of Defense regulations and policies impacting CI and cyber authorities, activities and operations.
- →Serves as an administrative law attorney, provides legal advice to the USACIC Commander, Staff, and subordinate units on administrative investigations involving intelligence and CI, activities and operations.
- →Advises the USACIC and subordinate commanders in all matters and inquiries from all regulating and oversight bodies to include the Army Staff, Congressional and Executive Intelligence Oversight Committees.
- →Advise on FOIA/Privacy Act matters involving intelligence/CI-sensitive information (including review and redactions) and provide fiscal law and civilian personnel law support .
- →Prepare ethics opinions and guidance under the Joint Ethics Regulation, including post-employment restrictions, outside employment, honoraria bans, and OGE 450 reviews.
