About the Role
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Hampshire is located in Concord, NH and has approximately 25 Assistant United States Attorneys and 29 support staff. Employment with the U.S. Attorney's Office is a unique, challenging, and rewarding experience for the highly motivated attorney. This is a term position. This position may be extended, or made permanent, without further advertising.
What You'll Do
- →Attorney's Office for the District of New Hampshire is seeking highly motivated attorneys interested in a rewarding and challenging career in public service as Assistant United States Attorneys.
- →Qualified applicants will join the more than 100,000 dedicated public servants and professionals of the Department of Justice committed to the Department's mission of enforcing federal laws that protect life, liberty, and property, defending the interests of the United States, and ensuring the impartial administration of justice for all Americans.
- →The Civil Division represents the United States, its agencies, and federal employees in a broad range of civil litigation and affirmative enforcement matters.
- →Civil Division attorneys manage all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- →Attorney's Office is currently seeking a term appointment to the Civil Division with a specialty and particular focus in immigration enforcement.
- →This temporary appointment is through September 30, 2029, and may be extended or made permanent without further competition.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
- →Residency Requirements: Assistant United States Attorneys generally must reside in the district to which he or she is appointed or within 25 miles thereof.
