This position is located at Departmental Offices,Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Office of Foreign Assets Control. As an Assistant Director, you will review evidentiary materials to ensure they meet the highest standards of integrity, quality, and content; manage employees assigned to foreign and domestic locations; develop employees' skills and abilities for advancement; and foster a safe, diverse, and accepting culture that promotes competence, integrity, and accountability. .
What You'll Do
- →As an Assistant Director, you will: Organize and manage investigations and functions related to the removal petitions process initiated by foreign persons who are listed on OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals List or other lists.
- →Coordinate investigative activities with other components within Treasury's Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI), as well as the U.S. interagency, the National Security Council, and foreign partners.
- →Develop OFAC and interagency regulatory and legislative proposals and formulate program guidance and instructions for and outreach to other government agencies and the public.

- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be serving in a position in Schedule Policy/Career of the excepted service.
- ✓You will obtain competitive status after two years of service in this position.
- ✓Your employment in this position will be at-will.
- ✓Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) appeals of adverse actions concerning performance, discipline, and other matters arising under chapters 23, 43, and 75 of title 5, United States Code will not be available to an individual serving in this position.
- ✓Prohibitions on prohibited personnel practices will be enforced by Treasury and not the Office of Special Counsel.
- ✓Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- ✓All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws.
- ✓A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
