About the Role

This position is located at Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration,Office of Mission Support. As an Assistant Director of Human Capital, you will be primarily responsible for oversight, direction, and guidance to division staff and the Human Capital Shared Service Provider.

What You'll Do

  • As an Assistant Director of Human Capital, you will: Plan and direct the Human Resources (HR) for strategic workforce planning, classification, and position management, staffing and recruitment, executive resources, learning and development, performance management, employee relations, data analytics, benefits, health, and wellness, and other employee life programs for TIGTA.
  • Interpret complex legislative, regulatory and policy guidance governing HR programs.
  • Analyze and evaluate program execution at the Human Resources Shared-Service Provider, conduct periodic and spot check of hiring flexibilities, merit promotion and Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) hiring actions; recognize problem areas; and originate solutions to complex and unusual issues.
  • Collaborate with TIGTA's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer on EEO and provide recruitment strategies ensure a culture representative of our nation.
  • Supervise Human Capital team, plan, assign, priorities, and review work; allocate assignments based on assigned program area of responsibility and considering the nature and complexity of the assignment and the team member's skill level.
