The primary purpose of this position is to provide an Archives Technician to access, arrange, preserve, disseminate, and maintain historical records and related material stored in the Air Force Historical Research Agency.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for accessioning all materials received for inclusion in the Air Force Historical Research Agency archives.
  • Reviews security and administrative markings on all documents being accessioned to ensure consistency, completeness, and proper handling of classified material.
  • Provides reference and research services with respect to the dissemination of records maintained at the AFHRA and other government document repositories.
  • Carries out special assignments.
  • Prepares recurring and nonrecurring correspondence and reports, and other documents.
