This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Squadron Superintendent for either Aircraft Generation (AGS), Component Repair (CRS), Equipment Maintenance (EMS) or Maintenance (MXS).
- →In this capacity, exercises technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing the total aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repair modification, jacking and total engine run of aircraft to an in-commission status (to include preflight) in an integrated environment as well as to train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein.
- →Position functions as the primary supervisor at an Associate Air Force Reserve unit.
- →Duties: 1: Performs work planning responsibilities.
- →Performs work direction responsibilities.
