About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor, Position Description Number D0735000 located at the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF #1) in Winder, GA. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Army National Guard Membership. Area of Consideration: Open to current on-board Technicians of the Georgia Army National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →As an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor, WS-8852-11 you will: Plan weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations.
- →Establish deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.
- →Determine skills, materials and equipment required to do the work.
- →Participate in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests.
- →Provide workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as the scheduling of projected work.
- →Assign tasks to be performed.
- →Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures.
- →Instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and provide assistance on difficult or new problem areas.
- →Review work in progress or on completion.
- →Make adjustments as necessary to effectively and economically accomplish the work.
- →Note and investigate work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors.
- →Assure that equipment and materiel is available when needed.
- →Coordinate work with other units.
- →Recommend and participate in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies.
