What You'll Do
- →Major Duties: This is not an all-inclusive list A AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (T32), WS, 8852, 10, (1) Planning: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations.
- →Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.
- →Determines skills, materials and equipment required to do the work.
- →Participates in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests.
- →Provides workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as the scheduling of projected work.
- →(2) Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed.
- →Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
- →Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas.
- →Reviews work in progress or on completion.
- →Makes adjustments as necessary to effectively and economically accomplish the work.
- →Notes and investigates work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors.
- →Assures that equipment and materiel is available when needed.
- →Coordinates work with other units.
- →(3) Administration: Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies.
Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Minnesota Air National Guard Membership is required.

- ✓Applicants who are not currently a member of the MN Air National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Air National Guard per the military grade(s) listed in this announcement.
- ✓Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- ✓Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- ✓Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- ✓Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- ✓Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- ✓Suitability is dependent upon the particular requirements for security clearance, sensitivity level, and DOD IT network access.
- ✓Items checked include, but are not limited to all criminal history record information, employment history, education and fiscal accountability/responsibility.** MILITARY COMPATIBILITY: Upon selection, individuals will undergo a background check to validate suitability for employment with the federal government as permitted by law, regulation, Presidential order or other authority.
- ✓Suitability is dependent upon the particular requirements for security clearance, sensitivity level, and DOD IT network access.
- ✓Items checked include, but are not limited to all criminal history record information, employment history, education and fiscal accountability/responsibility.
- ✓The individual selected must be assigned to a compatible military position and must also maintain satisfactory membership in the Minnesota Air National Guard.
