About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC CREW CHIEF (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1525000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW Air National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 114 (Smoky Mountain Chapter).
What You'll Do
- →As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC CREW CHIEF, WG-8852-12, you will manage, monitor or perform overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance military aircraft.
- →Ensure aircraft documentation and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) accurately reflect the airworthiness of the Aircraft.
- →Perform in-process and final inspection of aircraft and components undergoing repair, overhaul and/or modification to verify and certify by signature adherence to work techniques, procedures and quality standards established by applicable publications.
- →Plan, develop and conduct training during the technician work week for a multi facet workforce comprised of from 3 to 8 assigned military positions.
- →Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises and Operations Other Than War (OOTW).
- →Comply with safety, fire, security, environmental and housekeeping regulations.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
