Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer to serve as the Maintenance Group Commander/DCM.
- →In this capacity, the incumbent of this position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling the activities and operations of all maintenance functions within a Group (FG, ARG, AG, etc.).
- →Provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of the tasks set forth herein.
- →DUTY 1: Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates the maintenance activity within existing policies and objectives.
- →DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →DUTY 3: Represents the wing with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →DUTY 4: Maintains surveillance and ensures effective operation of the maintenance program.
