The incumbent of the position is an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Mechanic. The position is established to provide journeyman level work in the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of machinery and equipment associated with air conditioning and refrigeration trades crafts.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent installs, maintains, repairs and operates air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation systems and components.
- →Install, repair, maintain and operate ice machines, cooling towers, pumps, various types and sizes of fans, refrigerant flow and other working fluids.
- →Observes and interprets temperature and pressure gauges and recorders.
- →Adjusts manual and automatic controls to gain proper work from the flow of refrigerant fluids.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 12:00 am Position Description Title/PD#: Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic/PD93180-A Physical Requirements: Incumbent is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- →Must have sufficient physical strength to move large heavy equipment weighing in excess of 100 pounds and to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
