This position is located in the Farm Service Agency, Vermont State Office, Operations Branch, located in Colchester, Chittenden County, Vermont. The selectee participates in and shares in the responsibility for planning, directing, and administering all aspects of primary and related agricultural commodity programs and agricultural loan programs carried out by the State FSA Office.
What You'll Do
- →Receives and helps evaluates suggestions and recommendations for improvement.
- →Carries out the provisions of the Internal Controls and Integrity Reviews Program by assisting higher-graded Program Specialists in the reviews covering assigned FSA Agricultural Program duties.
- →Assists higher-graded Specialist in the gathering and selection of information for use in the administration of assigned programs.
- →Provides technical guidance related to preparation and transmittal of Time and Attendance records and analyzes problems and assists in implementing corrective action.
- →Prepares correspondence, procedures, notices, handbook supplements, instructions and forms for use by State and County Office personnel relating to the administration of assigned programs.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓If selected, you may be sent instructions on obtaining fingerprints.

- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period unless previous federal service is creditable.
- ✓During this time your employment will be evaluated, and we may consider: your performance and conduct, the needs and interests of the agency, whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government, and whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service.
