What You'll Do
- →You will lead development and sustainment efforts related to the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) and missile, with a focus on missile structures and flight sciences analyses.
- →You will provide comprehensive oversight of prime contractor design/product assurance activities across all program lifecycle phases, development through deployment and disposal, ensuring compliance with contractual and systems engineering criteria.
- →You will influence, lead, monitor, and approve contractor design and product quality assurance efforts in satisfying contractual requirements for various subsystems.
- →You will monitor hardware sustainment, evaluate environmental and aging effects, oversee configuration management compliance, and direct the investigation and corrective action for discrepant or non-conforming hardware.
- →You will implement program policy, engineering criteria, and provide information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.
- →You will represent the command in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), laboratories, and consultants.
- →You will uphold technical rigor as relates to flight science disciplines, modern development approaches, and production disciplines, to include, but not limited to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- →You will perform engineering analyses for proposed design changes, and collaborate with key stakeholders to approve/disapprove changes as the change authority
