You will serve as a AEROSPACE ENGINEER in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP, WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPT, WEAPONS MS&A DIV, WEAPONS DISTRIBUTED SIMULATION BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for evaluating weapon system and system-of-systems performance, characterizing weapon behavior, and determining overall mission effectiveness utilizing advanced simulation architectures.
- →You will lead and participate in the comprehensive planning, objective (measures) definition, and tactical execution of LRASM test events.
- →You will conduct detailed data analysis and draw logical, actionable conclusions from LRASM simulation runs.
- →You will provide technical support to maintain the integrity of the local analyst workstation and simulation software environment.
- →You will analyze weapon system and system-of-systems performance to identify capabilities, operational limits, and areas for tactical optimization.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
