About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Pediatrics, Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. A recruitment incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Develop and/or conducts in-service education programs for other health care professionals.
- →Initiate, implement, and oversee treatment plans and education for wellness, acute, non-acute, and chronic conditions.
- →Assesses and interprets patients' needs to medical and/or nursing staff and other members of the health team.
- →Provides urgent and non-urgent care for patients Perform pediatric assessments of wellness, acute, non-acute, and chronic clinical and psychological diagnoses.
- →Assesses the physical and psychological health status of patients and/or their families through health and developmental history.
- →Prescribes a variety of medications to patients based on the MTF formulary.
- →Serves as the first-line supervisor for EFMP Special Needs Advisor and EFMP Case Coordinator.
- →Provide educational management to patients and their families regarding health promotion, disease processes and diagnostic tests.
Requirements
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Graduates of foreign nursing schools must have completed the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools Certification Program.
- ✓The certification program consists of a credentials evaluation, the CGFNS Qualifying Exam, and evidence of passing one of the approved English Language Proficiency examinations.
- ✓A copy of the CGFNS Certificate is required.
