About the Role

The Wichita VA Medical Center is recruiting for an Advanced Medical Support Assistant to work in the Office of Community Care. Veterans Preference does not apply to this announcement.

What You'll Do

  • This position is assigned to Office of Community Care (OCC).
  • Performs troubleshooting for providers and patients; makes calls to patients and to non-VA community vendors, ensure records of community visits are obtained and consult closed appropriately.
  • The advanced medical support assistant (AMSA) position has a pivotal role within the RJD VA .
  • Patient care is delivered in a team based model.
  • Important interfaces and collaborations also occur with larger health care system providers including VA and non- VA specialists, hospitals, diagnostic and treating facilities, and community based programs.
  • Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm M-F Telework Eligible: Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S.
  • Citizen to apply for this job.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
