About the Role
The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) works at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System located in Palo Alto, CA or at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located in Monterey, CA. Assigned duties include but are not limited to: scheduling, canceling, rescheduling patients' appointments, entering no show information, consult management, answering phone calls and responding to voicemails in a timely and professional manner.
What You'll Do
- →Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

- →The incumbent is considered the team's authority on a variety of clinic process, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding eligibility and benefits, clinic support, statistical and data collection, medical record management and customer service.
- →The incumbent must interpret and implement regulations accurately to reflect current operating procedures.
- →The role is complex and requires flexibility and independent decision-making.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
