About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Protective Operations and Secret Service Police will allow you to use your expertise to provide administrative, clerical and office automation support using a variety of processes, methods, and techniques for protective and investigative activities. What You'll Do

  • The selectee will serve as an Administrative Specialist in the Office of Protective Operations and Secret Service Police.
  • Typical work assignments include: Manages a variety of administrative operations, including but not limited to financial/budget administration; billing; travel and credit card purchases; training; audits and inspections; recruitment; evidence and inventory controls; property inventory; records management; human resources management and administrative functions; and other duties as assigned.
  • Uses a variety of office automation programs, applications, tools, and systems to generate reports, graphics, charts, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations, as well as metrics and data analytics that senior-level stakeholders can use to communicate budget formulation and resource allocation.
  • Uses best practices when working with a variety of financial and administrative reporting systems to process financial/budget transactions, travel, purchasing, credit card transactions, and personnel actions.
  • Develop reports, memorandums, and procedures that clearly articulate applicable information to assist in completing tasks, responding to external audits, and detailing the need and allocation of financial resources in a clear and concise manner.
  • Reviews and evaluates assigned special projects and/or action documents submitted to ensure information aligns with the request(s); that appropriate coordination has been accomplished; procedural requirements have been met; style, composition and grammar are correct; and appropriate annotations are correctly applied, ensuring compliance with all applicable guidance and procedures.

  • This Administrative Specialist position starts at a salary of $85,447, GS-11, step 1 with potential to $111,087, GS-11 step 10.

Requirements

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a top-secret Tier 5 clearance.

  • Unofficial transcripts will be accepted that includes your name, the name of the educational institution, course title(s), number of credits, grade, and date of completion.
  • An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
