What You'll Do

  • Coordinates and performs a wide variety of responsible administrative functions in support of the Behavioral Health program functions.
  • Organizes flow of operational program processes in an office environment.
  • Establishes status of actions on numerous projects and program operations.
  • May serve on a variety of advisory committees.
  • May be delegated signatory authority for selected administrative matters.
  • The Administrative Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for Behavioral Health programs, greeting clients and gathering brief personal data to assist in identifying immediacy of need and scheduling appointments.
  • They will create and maintain client files as well as files pertaining to office procedures, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements.
  • Advises staff on development and implementation of local administrative directives and procedures.
  • Assists in the development of internal policies, procedures and work methods affecting administrative management operations and overall functioning of the Behavioral Health programs.
  • Ensures compliance by managers and supervisors by reviewing and revising studies, reports, utilizing naval correspondence for accuracy and format.
  • Collects, compiles and organizes information and data to meet administrative requirements.
  • Facilitates methods for automated reports and correspondence and prepares correspondence and drafts instructions in support of Behavioral Health Supervisors and Behavioral Health Director.
  • Uses a personal computer to transmit correspondence, create reports, databases, spreadsheets, graphics, slide shows and presentations.
  • Manipulates data to meet presentation and report requirements.
