The Administrative Officer provides for the overall administrative management for their service. This position reports directly to the Chief Nurse of their Nursing Service. Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies for their service. Performs a basic analysis of the date and generates a variety of reports for the Chief Nurse.
What You'll Do
- →Duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Officer include, but are not limited to: Responsible for providing for the overall administrative management for their service.
- →Exercises independent and creative judgment in accomplishing major duties.
- →This may include interpreting administrative policies, assist in developing and tracking local polices and standard operating procedures specific to their service, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to the Chief on related issues.
- →Reviews documents, reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate, Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track suspense on items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, compliance strategies.
- →Advises the Chief Nurse and members of the Nurse Managers regarding procedures, laws , regulations, and policies dealing with workforce diversity, recruitment, merit promotion, employee and labor relations, employee career development, human resources training, and other human resources related activities.
- →Completes and reviews reports, analyzes trends, timeliness of processing actions, and status of numerous actions and identifies deficiencies or discrepancies, recommends plans to improve efficiency of processing actions and solutions to eliminate recurrence of unfavorable conditions.
- →Manages requests for new resources, authors associated business plans, and presents request to relevant resource committee.
- →Responsible for creating and preparing award packages for employee contribution awards and other criteria awards.
- →Ensures that performance ratings are submitted in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory guideline.
- →Participates in annual budget planning and implementation for the section programs, monitors and tracks the program budget throughout the fiscal year.
- →Advises on fund shortages, overtime expenditures, and makes recommendations regarding funding or program adjustments to promote program effectiveness and efficiency.
- →Provides oversight of training requirements, compliance, and needs for service Reviews training requests for compliance with regulatory requirements such as eligibility with training requested, proper coding of purpose, type, source, and special interest in other required information.
- →Advises Chief Nurse and Nurse Managers on employee individual training needs and objectives.
- →Develops internal procedures for internal preparation, staffing, and control of training requests.
