About the Role
This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Beckley VA Medical Center Medical, Dental Service, Beckley, West Virginia. The Dental Service Administrative Officer (AO) provides vital information to clinicians in direct support of Veteran patient care. This position is the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) provider of administrative guidance in the Dental Department. The employees in the service line range from a GS-06 to GS-15 MD's.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties: Provides administrative and operation support for organizational programs and activities.
- →Assists management with personnel administration, staffing, and workforce support functions.
- →Coordinates and monitors administrative processes, reports, and program activities.
- →Collects, tracks, analyzes, and maintains data for operational purposes.
- →Assists with budget, procurement, and resource management activities.
- →Develops, prepares, and reviews reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents.
- →Supports program analysis, special projects, and process improvement initiatives.
- →Interprets and applies policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines.
- →Coordinates meetings, deadlines, and communication between staff, leadership, and stakeholders.
- →Provides customer service and administrative guidance to employees, management, and external contacts.
- →Assists with internal review, quality assurance, and compliance related activities.
- →Maintains records, files, and documentation in accordance with organizational requirements.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
