This position is in the Social Work and Integrated Care Service for the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System. This position specializes in the clinical and business operations and assists the chief, supervisors and program directors with administrative program management and contract obligations to ensure compliance. This position has administrative oversight over 18 programs within the service as well as all social workers in the facility.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties Strategic Planning and Analysis (50 Percent) This position works collaboratively with the Chief of Social Work, supervisors, program directors, and staff within the service in provisioning administrative oversight to all 18 programs within the service as well as social workers throughout the facility.
- →Incumbent will collaborate and coordinate with service and facility leaders on program initiatives and mission goals.
- →Incumbent shall undertake comprehensive analytical evaluations of data analysis and strategic planning and will be responsible for communications with relevant stakeholders.
- →The incumbent will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis and strategic planning, representing the Services at various high-level committees, and presenting evidence-based justifications for the necessity of enhancements.
- →The incumbent will be responsible for assessing clinic efficiency, anticipating future demand, and conducting cost/benefit analyses.
- →This role requires a deep understanding of the complexities and knowledge inherent in healthcare service delivery and the ability to independently analyze these services.
- →The incumbent will efficiently and effectively communicate expectations and projections and will frequently and eloquently contribute ideas and strategies to Service Chiefs, Senior Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- →Utilizes various graphical, spreadsheet, and database software packages to extract and analyze data from published reports and manipulate this data to generate tables and charts for program management and administrative purposes.
- →The incumbent is responsible for ensuring adequate access by monitoring and building provider templates, assessing provider bookability, tracking productivity, and monitoring clinic utilization.
- →External Correspondence and Quality Control (25 Percent) The incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for all external communication related to Social Work and Integrated Care, drafting, reviewing, and managing all external correspondence.
- →The incumbent develops and implements new or modified VHA directives, guidelines and procedures, work processes, and operations to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, or timeliness of developments and information dissemination to ensure high standards.
- →The incumbent will coordinate with referring providers, specialists, and administrative staff to facilitate referral process to ensure a seamless workflow.
- →The incumbent will analyze referral patterns and outcomes to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- →Operational Management and Administrative Responsibilities (25 Percent) The incumbent will create and develop facility and service line Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Line Agreements (SLAs) to establish and prepare administrative policies, directives, and procedures for implementation throughout the facility.
