About the Role
This Administrative Officer (AO) position is located in the Pharmacy Service of the Corporal Michael J Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (CMCVAMC). This position provides support to the Pharmacy Service. This is a complex and multi-faceted position that involves the coordination of Pharmacy administrative activities both within the service as well as with key personnel in other services.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties may include but are not limited to the following: Directs and coordinates all personnel management matters for the Service.
- →Prepares and develops budgets and monitors resource needs and allocation.
- →Monitors and completes all special and recurring administrative reports and correspondence.
- →Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- →Represents the Chief and Associate Chiefs in all matters not of a clinical nature.
- →Acts as a liaison between Pharmacy, Human Resources Management Service, and Fiscal Services.
- →Reviews and monitors performance standards, competencies, and position descriptions.
- →Analyzes employee turnover rates and overtime use, identifies problem areas, and makes recommendations.
- →Coordinates required training for staff including new employees.
- →Assists in conducting and analyzing studies relating to organization and administrative functions.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
