Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Acquisition Portfolio Management Directorate, located in the following: Indianapolis, IN Washington, DC Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this position you will direct the development and execution of acquisition strategies, manage program budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- →You will serve as a principal advisor to senior leadership on acquisition matters, providing guidance and expertise to ensure effective and efficient program delivery.
- →This position starts at a salary of $147,945.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $192,331.00 (GS-15, Step 10).

- →Major duties include: Developing and executing acquisition strategies, plans, goals, objectives, and milestones for a portfolio of complex programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and successful navigation of the acquisition lifecycle.
- →Managing program budgets, resource allocation, and performance standards, integrating cost, schedule, risk, and quality management across multiple acquisition programs.
- →Advising senior leadership and stakeholders on acquisition matters, providing expert guidance, recommendations, and authoritative responses to internal and external inquiries, audits, and reviews.
- →Overseeing contract administration, negotiation, and resolution of programmatic and contractual issues, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and effective contractor management.
- →Supervising and mentoring acquisition professionals, establishing performance standards, fostering workforce development, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ethical practices.
