This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS) National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS), with one vacancy in Oxford, MD; Silver Spring, MD; Beaufort, NC; Charleston, SC.
What You'll Do
- →As an Acquisition Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Assist the Business Management Division's (BMD) procurement and acquisition work following all established procedures.
- →Participate in the procurement process, such as filing documentation, writing memorandums, developing and providing administrative training.
- →Create briefing materials to senior management to assist in decision making pertaining to the contracting of services, management of current contracts and major purchasing objectives.
- →Assist with providing guidance on how to address changes in work status by way of furlough and other concerns.
- →Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, programs and activities for the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) strategic planning.
- →Assist with compliance audits of expenditures and files.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-2 is equivalent to the GS-07/08/09/10.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
