What You'll Do
- →The Registered Nurse(RN) Fall Care Coordinator is responsible for the falls prevention program that is based on national standards, evidence-based practice, and outcomes research in accordance with the scope of practice.
- →Primary responsibilities for this position include systematic evaluation of current practice, development, coordination, and management of Falls Prevention Program throughout the facility.
- →Serves as a consultant for problem resolution across service/discipline lines.
- →Maintains flexibility with a high degree of interpersonal skills, effective communication, leadership, motivation, self-direction, and ongoing evaluation of activities.
- →Utilizes the nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality and safe care of Veterans evidenced by comprehensive management of patient safety standards and best practices.
- →Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines.
- →Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
- ✓Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.

- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued identification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.
